Anne Hathaway wants to star in a theatre production "soon".
The 'Devil Wears Prada' star admits it is a long-held ambition to appear on the stage and she worries she is getting too old to take on the roles she most wants.
She said: "I have nothing but desire to do theatre. And I have for years. The last thing I did on stage was when I was 19, and I'm itching to get back.
"There are a bunch of roles that I'm worried I'm getting too old to play, like Juliet and Nina, so I'd love to get those in before I get a little bit too long in the tooth."
The 25-year-old star also admitted she knows she won't always make good movies.
She added to Moviehole.net: "I've always said from the beginning, as long as I can keep working consistently, telling good stories, I'll be happy as a clam. I don't really need much else. And I've found that that is actually quite a bit to ask for as an actor, because it never lasts. Even with the best people, there's always peaks and valleys.
"I could be a movie star I my 70s but I'm sure I won't have been consistently working with the best material out there the entire time."
